Mentorship Matters, in Remembrance of Maya Angelou

Hi!  Welcome back to #MentorshipMonday.  Whether for personal development or career aspirations, mentors play a valuable role in the lives of people looking to achieve life goals and success.  It's amazing to note that with over 7 billion people on the planet, we often feel alone.  The workplace can be the same way.  Growing up, our mentors were teachers, parents or older friends who blazed a trail for us.  In the workplace, mentors are equally valuable with the life lessons they can provide to help us navigate our professional careers.  

Mentors inspire us with wisdom, knowledge and understanding.  A truly legendary mentor, author, poet, and activist was the late, Maya Angelou.  Ms. Angelou touched the lives of many through her work.  In fact, she was Oprah Winfrey's mentor.   In remembrance of the incredible legacy she left behind, here are some of her most inspiring and uplifting quotes:
