"Alice:  Would you tell me, please, which way I ought to go from here?

The Cheshire Cat:  That depends a good deal on where you want to get to.

Alice:  I don't much care where.

The Cheshire Cat:  Then it doesn't much matter which way you go.

Alice:...So long as a I get somewhere.

The Cheshire Cat:  Oh, you're sure to do that, if only you walk long enough."-Lewis Carroll, Alice in Wonderland

Hi!  Thanks for returning to my blog.  In preparing for today's blog, I was meditating on motivation and I was reminded of a chapter in our book, Riches in Real Estate.  You see-we all use the term--but what does it look like in action?  And, how do we know whether or not we are indeed-motivated?  Motivation is frequently used to describe "why" a person does-or does not do-something.  Which leads me back to one of my favorite children's stories-Alice in Wonderland, by Lewis Carroll.  One of my favorite characters in the book is the Cheshire Cat.

The Cheshire Cat is often interpreted as a guiding spirit for Alice, as it is he who directs her towards the March Hare's house and the mad tea party, which eventually leads her to her final destination, the garden.  How do we get inspiration to take action-in other words--get motivated?  The answer is often found in examining our dreams and hopes for our future.  Those are our desires.  Desire-when you look up the definition, it speaks of craving, longing, strongly wanting to have or obtain something.  My guess is that's why you are reading a blog about motivation.  Perhaps you are seeking new direction, maybe a new career.  One that can provide you financial riches, based on your goals and desires.  Real estate success doesn't require hard labor and it doesn't require a great deal of education.  All it takes is imagination and desire.  If you can visualize riches in your imagination and desire them in your heart, you can gain them in your bank balance.  As long as you have firmly in your mind what you want-you can possess it.  Maybe you are considering changing careers and are curious about becoming a real estate agent.

You deserve work that you can enjoy doing and which brings forth your very best creative expression.  Who wants to be the person that waits in line at the same traffic light, day in, day out at the same time, taking the same route to work, listening to the same music or news, drinking the same coffee, and experiencing boredom.  To have a labor of love is to have one of the great riches in life and you can unlock the mysteries of this kind of love.  Wouldn't it feel great to lay your head on your pillow at night with your heart full of joy, and your mind filled with eager thoughts about tomorrow and what comes next.

There is a certain roadmap to follow with milestones, metrics, and methods for arriving at your desired destination.  If you develop and follow a plan, and do so fervently and persistently-you will be able to be, do, and have anything your heart desires.  And we would be honored to be a part of your journey.  If you are ready to get started, simply go to www.theshafferway.com and enroll now.  I look forward to hearing from you!  Warmly, Susan
